Judge Scott celebrates 12 years serving the Small Claims Court!

The Honorable Michelle Smith Scott is an elected Small Claims Court Judge in Indiana.

Small Claims Court is for everyday people and provides an open door for everyone's legal issue. 

Judge Scott serves one of the busiest Small Claims courts in the state of Indiana.  The court averages 30,000 cases set on the docket a year.  Judge Scott brings patience, dignity, courtesy and compassion to the bench everyday.  Small Claims cases involve matters that can affect everyone: housing, collections, personal injury and many other claims.  Small Claims Court hears civil disputes involving matters less than $6,000. 

Judge Scott applies the law with patience, dignity, courtesy and compassion.  Small Claims Court requires it – and the people deserve it.
